A private memorial service for Herbert Allen Daniels, Sr., 71, of Emory, will be held in Washington State at a later date. He died on March 8, 2022, in Tyler. He was born on May 1, 1950, to William and Phyllis Johnston Daniels in Minneapolis, Minn.
Mr. Daniels was raised in Washington State and moved to Texas in 1992. He was a career truck driver and retired from the industry with J. B. Hunt in 2018. He loved being outside and staying busy.
He is survived by three sons, LTC Herbert Daniels Jr., US Army Retired and wife Sarah, Joseph Daniels and wife Paulette, and CPO Christopher Daniels, US Navy and wife Colleen; six grandchildren; one brother; three sisters and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
