Funeral services for Edwin Dennis Creswell, Sr., 80, of Emory, were held on May 1, at Emory Baptist Church. Interment was in Smyrna Cemetery.
Mr. Creswell died at his home on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, with his wife and children by his side. He was born on November 17, 1941, to Edwin Price Creswell and Dorothy Lou Cook, in Dallas. He married Gloria Creswell on September 2, 2017.
He had lived in Rains County since 1980. He loved living in Emory, fishing in Lake Fork, and loved his community in Rains County. He was a member of Emory Baptist Church.
Mr. Creswell served in the U.S. Navy, worked at NCR and IBM before establishing, and then retiring from, Express Business Systems. He then spent his time between working seasonally at Yellowstone National Park and his home in Emory.
Mr. Creswell is survived by his wife; daughter, Tami Lynell Creswell Church and husband Thomas; son, Edwin Dennis Creswell, Jr. and wife Nadine; stepmother, Bette Creswell; brother, Joe Creswell; sisters, Patty Ann Nicholson, Shelli Walker and Patty Valentine; grandchildren, Stephanie Hampton, Julie Heng, Dominque Crozier, Bridget Lenamon, Blake Creswell and Austin Creswell; and great-grandchildren, Cooper, Barrett, Lux and Noctis.
Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home.
