A celebration of life for Douglas Wayne Dhane, 63, will be held on September 3, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., at his residence.
Mr. Dhane died peacefully on August 1, 2023, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on September 3, 1959, in Dallas County, to Earl Douglas Dhane and Ima Jean Dennie.
He was a loving husband, caring father, doting grandfather. He was a mechanic and could fix practically anything and loved working on lawn mowers. He enjoyed car races, dirt track racing, fishing trips and camping adventures with his family.
Mr. Dhane is survived by his wife, Glenda Dedmon-Dhane; sons, Clayton Dhane, Jonathan Rhodes, and Micheal Dozier and wife Vicki; daughter, Melissa Smith and husband Fabian; grandsons, Dakota Dhane, Konner Rhodes, and Judson Dozier and wife Amber; granddaughters, Kaitlyn Dhane, Heaven Rhodes, Cambree Rhodes, Madison Rhodes and Lyar Ray; many that he called great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Sherry Crutchfield, Belinda Jones, Sandra Whathey-Record and Sheila Dhane York.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Connie and Carla; aunt, Jeanna Dhane; and uncles, GW Dhane and CL Dhane.
