Funeral services for Dolores Agnes Berry, 99, of Richardson, formerly of East Tawakoni, will be held on Saturday, January 28. Visitation will be at 1:30 p.m., with a Rosary at 2:00 p.m. and Funeral Mass at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Smyrna Cemetery.
Mrs. Berry died on January 22, 2023. She was born on July 27, 1923, in Sandusky, Ohio, to Leo and Julia Braeunig. She received her bachelor’s degree and teaching certificate from SMU and worked in the Dallas banking and oil industries. She was a WWII Veteran of the Navy WAVES. She married Marvin Berry on September 30, 1944, in Bethesda, Maryland. She attended St. Joseph’s in Greenville and St. Michael The Archangel of Garland. She was a member of Desk and Derrick Club, Lions Club and the VFW.
Mrs. Berry is survived by her son, Leon D. Berry; daughters, Vickie B. Glasscock, and Christine E. Berry and husband Mike; grandsons, Leon D. Berry, Jr., Matthew L. Glasscock and wife Jean, John S. Glasscock, Gerald M.P. Glasscock and wife Selina, and Austin J. Lancaster and wife Sarah; granddaughters, Amy M. Raymond and husband Erik, and Julie C. Howard and husband John; great-grandsons, Thomas Berry, Jackson Howard, Eli Stockinger, Preston Raymond, Logan Raymond and Alex Glasscock; great-granddaughters, Starr Kieffer, Kate Berry, Ainsley Stockinger and Everleigh Howard; close family friend, Carol P. Berry; and a host of family and friends who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and eight brothers and sisters and their spouses.
