A memorial service for Kay Gabbard, 68, of Point, will be held on Saturday, August 20, at 11:00 a.m. at Point Church of Christ. Minister Richard Kellam will officiate.
Mrs. Gabbard died on August 11, 2022, in Point. She was born on September 19, 1953, to James Rafford Stibbens and Tommie Yarbrough in DeSoto.
She loved her family and was loved by her family and her church family. She was called Nana and Granny Kay. She also loved her many animals.
Mrs. Gabbard is survived by her son, Leslie Short and wife April; daughters, Mandy Short, and Erica Yanger and husband Julian; grandchildren, Brittany Castillo, Crystal Short, Robert Speer, Kyle Short, Kobe Jennings, Kaylani McKinney, Kenleigh Yanger, Nicholas Clack and Hunter Clack; great-grandchildren, Britain, Jamie, Lyric and Aphelia; sister, Rama Farmer and husband Anthony; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Tommie Stibbens; brother, James Rafford Stibbens (Bo); nephew, Anthony Farmer Jr.; and niece, Amy Stibbens.
