David L. Griggs, 63, died on Thursday, April 11, 2024 in Mesquite, at home surrounded by his wife and children. He was born on February 9, 1961, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Jimmy and Pat Griggs.
Mr. Griggs worked in construction in the Dallas area, working mostly with sheetrock, He enjoyed working with his father. He was loved by his family and loved his family and wanted what was best for them.
Mr. Griggs is survived by his wife, Star; sons, Clint and David of Seagoville, and Dusty of Mesquite; his daughters, Sky of Denison, and Justice and Destiny of Mesquite; grandchildren, Ashton and Adrian of Mesquite; mother, Pat Griggs of Oklahoma City; step-mother, June Jones of Emory; brothers, Ricky and wife Mona of Silverwood, Mich.; Randy and wife, Lorie of Alba; sisters, Kaye Ross and Debra Jenkins of Oklahoma City; first wife, Brenda Griggs of Mesquite; and many nephews, nieces, and family and friends.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Robert and Opal Ingram, and Arthur and Arvie Holy; father, Jimmy Griggs; father-in-law, Rick Johnson; and brother-in-law, Richard Jenkins.
