Services for C.L. Anders, 80, of Alba, will be held on Thursday, February 24, at 2:00 p.m., at Amazing Grace Fellowship Church. Bro. Otis Lee will officiate. Pallbearers will be Travis Anders, Phillip Lewers, Richard Anders, Bobby Anders, Timothy Anders and Gavin Morrow. Honorary pallbearers will be Louis Lewers, Jered Taylor, Shawn Newland and Landon Busbee.
Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home in Alba.
Mr. Anders died on February 19, 2022, in Tyler. He was born October 24, 1941, in Winnsboro to Orvil Merriam and Lillie Lue Lindley Anders. He lived in Winnsboro before moving to Alba 54 years ago.
Mr. Anders is survived by his wife of 54 years, Duene Anders of Alba; daughters, Joetta Anders of Alba, and Malisa Thompson and husband Robert of Alba; eight grandchildren, Timothy, Candace, Travis, Phillip, Judy, Khrysta, Tiffany and Victoria; ten great-grandchildren; brothers, Percy Anders and wife Betsy of Gordon, Wayne Anders and wife Glenda of Leesburg, and Ray Anders and wife Molly of Winnsboro; sister, Faye Russom and husband Jerry of Winnsboro; many “adopted” grandkids; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, J.C. Anders, Glenn Anders and Albert Anders; two sisters, Alice Weems and Reba Wetzel; grandson, Louis Lewers; and great-grandson, Landon Busbee.
