Bruce Hodge Hendley

Services for Bruce Hodge Hendley, 68, were held March 18 at the memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
Mr. Hendley died on March 14, 2020. He was born in Gladewater on August 1, 1951. He was a musician, like his father, playing the drums. His love for life and his family was only matched by his passion for Texas western swing.
After marrying Pat Braddy in 2008, he and his new bride settled into a picturesque life along the banks of Lake Fork in Emory. There, he continued his successful paint contracting business and doted on his “babies,” Sara (Pug), Killer (Boston Terrier), Barney, and Casper (both American Eskimo). He was loved by all and never met a stranger. His heart and giving nature were as big as the state of Texas.
Mr. Hendley is survived by his mother, Maxine Kennedy; his wife; sisters, June Saxon and husband Cecil, Gloria Jordan and husband Tracy, and Karen Tingsley and husband William; brother, Billy Hendley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
