Brenda Kay Bartz, 67, of Emory, died on June 30, 2023. She was born on April 6, 1956, in Austin, to Haskel and Marge Holmes.
Mrs. Bartz was married to Jim Bartz for almost 50 years. They enjoyed spending time together at their RV park, and camping in Rock Port during the winter months.
She was a real estate agent and sold properties for many years in Austin and then continued when she moved to Lake Fork. She was very successful, knowledgeable, and well respected in her field.
She loved her family and was a strong woman. She was known as Mimi to her grandchildren. She was funny, witty, smart and a neatnik. She had a flair for organization and took pride in providing a clean, comfortable home for her family. She was also a very good cook.
Mrs. Bartz is survived by son, Jimmy Bartz and wife Dena; sister, Beverly Evans and husband James of Cedar Park; brother, Brian Holmes and wife Debbie of Llano; grandsons, Travis Bartz of Leander, John Armstrong of Leander, David Armstrong of Leander; granddaughter, Alynna Armstrong of Fort Worth; great-grandson, Waylon; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
