Amy Dianne Hurn, 52, died on January 1, 2023. She was born on August 31, 1970, in Greenville. She lived in East Tawakoni until the fifth grade when she moved with her family to Bedford. She graduated from Trinity High School in Euless and attended East Texas State University, receiving her certification to teach elementary and middle school.
She left her job in 2022 to care for her grandfather, and then her mother. Late in 2022, she began to feel sick. Her medical caretaker referred her to a cancer specialist, but she never made it there.
She had asked Jesus Christ to come into her heart and to direct her life at age five and was baptized at Emory Baptist Church.
Ms. Anderson is survived by her two daughters, Lindsay Anderson and Lauren Anderson; mother, Susan Hurn; sisters, Jennifer Mitchell and Lynn Rodriguez; brother, Clem Perry Hurn, III; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clem Perry Hurn, Jr; grandmother, Bonnie Lee VanAsperen; grandfather, Clem Perry Hurn, Sr; uncles, Charles Frank Hurn and Ralph E. Stone.
