A funeral service for Alton Paul “Big Al” Wilson, 68, was held on August 8, at Wilson-Orwosky Chapel with DJ Parr officiating. Interment followed at Ables Springs Cemetery in Terrell. Serving as pallbearers were Terry Porter, Jay Miller, Dakota Parish, Blake Hall, OG Bobby Cagle and Big Dav Adams. Honorary pallbearers were Rooster, Spanky and Monty Skaggs.
Mr. Wilson died on July 31, 2026. He was born on September 26, 1957, in Kaufman, to J.C. and Ann Wilson.
Mr. Wilson was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He treasured time spent with family and friends.
He was an avid gun collector and Master Mason who loved traveling, hunting, mudding, camping, and riding his Harley. He was an active member of The Dorsai motorcycle club and spent many years riding with Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) as “Big Owl,” establishing a local chapter in the early 2000’s that continues to support some of the community’s most vulnerable today.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his four daughters, Amy Lehrman and husband Robert, Angel Weber and husband Mike, Jessica Wilson, and Laney Romines and husband Tyler; longtime girlfriend, Kathi Anderson; brothers, Jimmy Wilson and wife Judy, and Bobby Wilson and wife Dorothy; grandchildren, Macy Wilson, Jeremy Rogers, Sierra Rogers, Lacy Rogers, Rylan Wilson, River Wilson, and Adeline Romines; and great-grandchildren, Anakin, Maggie and Veronica; nieces and nephews, Chuck, Chad, Bo and Bradlea Wilson, Kristina Fisher, and Stanley Kvapil.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Vicki Kvapil; niece, Racheal Kvapil; and grandson, Cody Weber.
