A celebration of life service for Randall “Eugene” Rimpley, 75, of Point, will be held on Thursday, October 12, at 2:00 p.m., at Calvary First Baptist Church in Mesquite. Funeral services for Mr. Rimpley were held earlier the same day at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Joe Hill, Jourdon Gintzler, Christian King, Clay Byington, Ryan Dougan and Chris Ortiz.
Mr. Rimpley died on October 3, 2023 at his residence. He was born on March 17, 1948 in Arnold, Nebraska, to Joy Hill and George Hill.
He married the love of his life, Marcy, on September 3, 1971 and they celebrated 52 years of marriage. He was a military veteran and an excellent salesman for Johnston and Murphy. He was very crafty from being a green thumb, building cars and jet replicas, creating his famous Christmas town, and building anything you could think of.
Mr. Rimpley is survived by his wife; daughters, Cynthia Ray, and Melissa Hill and husband Joe; grandchildren, Leslie Byington and husband Clay, Brooke Gintzler and husband Jourdon, Bayleah King and husband Christian, and Abbie Hill and James Ray; seven great-grandchildren, Baylor Byington, Urijah Gintzler, Scout Byington, Harper Gintzler, Kooper King, Hazel Gintzler and Jaxson King.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Janie Martin; and son-in-law, Royce Ray.
