Claude “Sonny” Soules, Jr.

1946 – 2022

Funeral services for Claude “Sonny” Soules, Jr., 75, of Point were held on April 30 at the House of Prayer in Emory. Interment was in Salem Cemetery.

Mr. Soules died on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. He was born on July 30, 1946, to Claude Soules, Sr., and Allie Marie Ramsey in Purcell, Okla. He married Brooke Soules on January 20, 1990, in McKinney. 

He worked as a paint and drywall contractor. He loved fishing and hunting, and served in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Soules is survived by his wife; sons, Claude Raymond Soules and wife Angela, Lonie Selsor and wife Lori, and Chuck Selsor; grandchildren, Dustin Soules and wife Morgan, Kelly Soules, Rebecca Doan and husband Matt, Cody Denton, Khloe Fraizer, Dixie Ruttenbur and husband Eric, Lonie Selsor, Jr., and Hunter Selsor; great-grandchildren, Jazzlyn Barrientes, Jackson Soules, Tucker Soules, Adalyn Hernandez, Emery Hernandez, Langston Holdbrook, Tryston Williams, Payten Maitland, Jaxon Montelongo, Morgan Montelongo, Bryson Montelongo, Dylan Doan, Abigail Denton and Gavin Ruttenbur; and brothers, Jimmy Soules and Jerry Soules. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Anna Lee Malloy, Martha Bell Langsford and Mildred Ruth Vernon; brothers, Joe Wayne Tucker and Hurschel Tucker.

Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home.
