Memorial services for Janet Wright Martin, 77, of Alba, will be held on Saturday, October 16, at 2:00 p.m. at Amazing Grace Fellowship Church in Alba. Pastor Byron George will officiate.
Interment will be held at a later date at Old Salem Cemetery, Alba.
Janet Martin died Friday, October 8, 2021, at Hospice of East Texas, Tyler. She was born on May 11, 1944, in Alba, to John Alton Wright and Ruby Lou Sherwood.
She was a lifelong resident of Alba. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, seamstress, hairdresser and homemaker.
Mrs. Martin is survived by daughter, Wanda Gaby and husband Ronny of Alba; stepdaughter, Marie Johns of Lubbock; granddaughter, Jamie Boyd of Brashear; grandson, David Johns of Lubbock; great-grandchildren, Jameson Boyd and Scarlet Boyd of Brashear; brother, John Wright Jr. of Golden; sisters, Martha Hines of Alba and Lara Kent and husband Floyd of Golden.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, C.B. Martin Jr.; son, Trey Martin; and brothers, Ferrell Wright and Ronnie Wright.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of East Texas.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
