Services for William Charles “Bill” Haughn, 76, of Alba, were held on July 19 at First Baptist Church, Alba. Bro. Dwayne McCormack officiated.
Pallbearers were Jason Osborn, Jim May, Chad Lennon, Danny Osborn, Jim Osborn and Tony McCormack.
Mr. Haughn died on July 15, 2020, at his residence in Alba. He was born November 28, 1943, in Newton, Massachusetts, to Robert and Mildred Haughn. On October 8, 1983, Bill married Sherrylyn Sue Lamb in Irving. They were together for a total of 42 years. Moving from Florida, he had lived in the Alba area for the last 17 years and was a member of First Baptist Church, Alba. Bill was a member of the United States Air Force and a veteran of the Vietnam War. He treated everyone special and was a very loving, generous and gracious gentleman.
Mr. Haughn is survived by his wife of Alba; daughter, Angie Osborn and husband Mark of Alba; brother, Robert Donald Haughn and wife Barbara of Mercedes; two grandchildren, Kayla Osborn and Danny Osborn; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters, Joanie, Wilma and Marilyn.
Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home.
