Funeral services for Linda Smallwood, 72, will be held on Friday, April 18, at 2:00 p.m., at First Assembly of God in Emory.
Mrs. Smallwood died on April 12, 2025, at her home in Emory. She was born on October 12, 1952, in Paris, Texas, to Joe Henry and Nellie Faye Adams.
For over 40 years, Mrs. Smallwood and her husband, Jerry, faithfully served as pastors, leading countless souls to Christ with open hearts and unwavering devotion. Her love for Jesus was fierce and unshakable, just like her love for her family—which was the very center of her world. Being a wife, mother, and grandmother were her greatest joys and her proudest accomplishments. She and Jerry built successful businesses and shared dreams and laughter.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Smallwood; mother, Nellie Faye Adams; daughters, Misty Deck, Jennifer Gladson and John Lichty; grandchildren, Payton Gladson and Cassidy, Brock Gladson and Melissa, Courtny Lichty, Kylee Gladson, and Lauren Hollingsworth and Wesley; great-grandchildren, Riley, Chloe, McKinley, Kodi, Coly, Landry, Tenslee, Stetson, Janie and Lilly; siblings, Harold Rick Adams, Karran Gilpin and Steve and Craig Adams and Caronda.
She was preceded in death by her father; and brothers, David Adams and Marcus Adams.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 18, one hour prior to the service at First Assembly of God.
