Willie Earl McQueen

1936 – 2024

Funeral services for Willie Earl McQueen, 87, of Emory, were held on August 19, 2024, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.

Interment followed in Holland Cemetery, Yantis. Serving as pallbearers were Randal McQueen, Michael McQueen, Dillion McQueen, Garrett McQueen, Justin Early and Laramie McQueen.

Mr. McQueen died on August 15, 2024, in Mineola. He was born on November 6, 1936, in Rains County, to William Joseph and Ruby Lucille Worthington McQueen.

Mr. McQueen lived most of his life in Rains and Wood County and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Emory. In 1971, He married Nannie Jo Sisk in Rains County. He worked for seven years for Wood County and was also a farmer. He enjoyed fishing and coon hunting. 

He is survived by his two sons, Michael McQueen and wife Melissa of Winfield and Randal McQueen and wife Jennifer of Omaha; three daughters, Pam McQueen of Pickton, Sabrina Gomm and husband Rick of Oklahoma, and Teresa McQueen of Winnsboro; brother, Connie McQueen of Tuttle, Oklahoma; three sisters, Kathy Turner of Quitman, Kay Roberts of Terrell, Dorothy Isernia and husband John of Murphy; fourteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 49 years; daughter, Eva Joyce; six brothers, Homer McQueen, Bobbie McQueen, Thomas McQueen, Truman McQueen, Billy Joe McQueen, and Russell McQueen; three sisters, Sadie Smith, Maggie West and Dianna Stogner; two infant brothers; and three infant sisters.
