William Roy Soden, 89, of Sulphur Springs, died on November 27, 2020, at Rock Creek Health & Rehab in Sulphur Springs.
Mr. Soden was born on June 16, 1931, in Clever, Missouri, to Raymond and Salome Soden. He married Wanda Shipp Johnson on December 12, 1980, in Durant, Oklahoma. The two of them resided in Emory for more than 30 years. Prior to retirement he was a truck driver for Central Freight.
Mr. Soden is survived by his wife of Sulphur Springs; son, Richard Soden of Red Oak; daughters, Elena McCord of Trinidad and Susan Neyra of Royse City; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Soden; and sister, Lena McNeese.
Arrangements were under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
