Services for Thelma Jane Hall Hunt, 83, of Point, were held on August 3 at Lone Oak Baptist Church. Rev. Danny Calk and Bro. Robert Cook officiated.
Interment followed in Forrest Park Cemetery, Greenville. Pallbearers were Walker H. Hunt, IV, Benjamin James, Hayden Hunt, Ethan Hunt, Chad Brumit, Garrett Brumit, Hunter Brumit, Gage Brumit and Tom Kearns. Jonathan Northcutt served as an honorary pallbearer.
Mrs. Hunt died on July 30, 2020, at her residence in Point. She was born April 7, 1937, in Brashear, to Roy Lee and Thelma Harriet Tarrant Hall. Jane lived 27 years in Hunt County and the past 14 years in Rains County. She was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church. She was a school teacher for 20 years, teaching mostly kindergarten.
Mrs. Hunt is survived by sons, Walker Hunt III and wife Tami of Cypress and Kenny Hunt and wife Shellye of Point; daughters, Carrie James and husband Bob of Royse City and Nancy Brumit and husband Scott of Point; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Hunt was preceded in death by her husband, Walker Hooker Hunt Jr.; three brothers; and six sisters.
