State Comptroller advises local CAD to raise property values

During the Rains ISD School Board meeting on Monday, February 10, Assistant Superintendent of Finance Jeff Fisher informed trustees that the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Property Tax Assistance Division (PTAD) had determined that the appraised value on properties in Rains County were too low again which would lead to a cut in funding for the school district from the state of Texas.
