Ruby “Mickey” Gaby

1934 – 2024

Funeral services for Ruby “Mickey” Gaby, 90, of Emory, will be held on Saturday, August 31, at 11:00 a.m., at Wilson Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel in Emory. Jonathan Criswell will officiate. Interment will be at Emory City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be David Gaby, Kevin Gaby, Micah Gaby, Josh Gaby, Matthew Gaby, Andrew Gaby and Trevor Gaby. Nathan Gaby will serve as honorary pallbearer.

Mrs. Gaby died on August 27, 2024, in Emory. She was born on July 26, 1934. She graduated from high school in Rains County. She married Lloyd Gaby on May 31, 1952, and they spent 69 years building a life together before he died in 2021.

She was a devoted wife, loving granny, an exemplary homemaker, and a talented quilter, as well as gardener. She was a founder of the Rains County Good Samaritans and lifelong member of The First Assembly of Yahvah.

She is survived by her sons, Stephen, Mark, Doug and wife Cindy, and Jerry and wife Traci; grandchildren, Joshua and wife Alexa, Mathew, Andrew and wife Carlie, David and wife Brandi, Kevin and wife Rikki, Micah and wife Megan, Nathan, Magen and husband Cody, Trevor, Austin, Sarah, Gabriella and Ryan; brother, Billy Mac Adair and wife Carol; sister, Martha Wilds; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd “Boy” Gaby; her parents; son, David Gaby; and sisters, Ruth Holland and Pasty Adair.

A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m., on Saturday, August 31.
