A celebration of life service for Richard Eugene Gallimore, 71, will be held at a later date.
Mr. Gallimore died on January 15, 2021. He was born on August 21, 1949, in Fort Worth to Margaret Clairee and Robert Lee Gallimore. He graduated from Arlington Heights High School, then attended the University of Texas at Arlington. On August 1, 1969, he married Judy Kay Holland and spent the rest of his life loving and providing for her and their children.
Mr. Gallimore spent nearly 50 years working in retail management, ultimately retiring in 2014. He spent his retirement years at his favorite getaway, Lake Fork, where he and Judy made their home. He was a church deacon, a role model and mentor. He was a man of high morals and standards, unmatched integrity and fairness. He loved to laugh, his blue eyes always bright, and he was always ready for a joke. He will be deeply missed by those who loved him.
Mr. Gallimore is survived by his wife of Emory; mother of Fort Worth; sisters, Linda Carol Hudgens, Nancy Jane Brewer and husband Kirvin, and Cheryl Ann Garner, all of Fort Worth; children, Shawn Gallimore and wife Carol of Princeton, Stacey Granhold and fiancé Keith Spangler of Paris, and Shannon Diers and husband Peter of Keller; grandchildren, Michelle St. John and husband Mikel, Courtney Shepherd and husband Robert, Zachary, Jacob and Madelyne Granhold, and Christopher and Kathryn Bird; and great-grandchildren, Gideon Mikel St. John, Ava Grace Granhold, Paxton Joe Shepherd, and baby St. John coming soon.
