Richard Allen Timms, 72, of East Tawakoni, died on November 11, 2024. He was born on June 11, 1952
Mr. Timms served in the US Army, where he embarked on numerous travels that became the backdrop of many stories shared with family and friends.
He was a dedicated family man. He met and married Jeanella Timms and they built a beautiful life traveling and exploring many different places as a military family. His proudest accomplishment was being a good dad and ensuring his family remained united and supported throughout their journeys in life.
He was known for his patient and joyful personality and was a happy individual who embraced life. He loved to spend his time outdoors, fishing or camping with his family. He also found joy in watching western movies.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanella Timms; children, J.D. Gray and Sylvia, Pamela Gray Bridges and Jesse Williams; grandchildren, Kelsey, Austin and Amber; great-grandchildren, Ethan and LeAnna; sister, Glenda Timms; and brother, Jerry Clark.
