A graveside service celebrating the life of Phyllis Rae Cason, 57, of Point was held on May 16 at Lone Star Cemetery. Brother Brough officiated.
Mrs. Cason died on May 11, 2020. She was born on October 22, 1962, in Dallas to Leroy Cason and Betty Jane Daniel Cason. She was raised in Mesquite, Garland and Wills Point. She graduated in 1981 from Wills Point High School. She spent her working career in city and county government. She worked as a 911-dispatcher for the Rains County Sheriff’s Office and the Terrell Police Department. She also worked in the Hunt County District Clerk’s office.
Mrs. Cason enjoyed scrapbooking, reading, antiquing and painting folk art. She loved going to First Monday and liked classic country music.
Mrs. Cason is survived by her sisters, Penny Rabe of Flats, and Patti Khan and husband Iqbal of Irving; god-childen, Kalli, Kyle, and Maggie; numerous nieces and nephews; and her fur baby, Kitty Maxine.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, Shorty and Maggie Cason, and Herschel and Nadene Daniel; sister, Pam Burns; brother-in-law, Keith Rabe; and her dogs, Scooter and Max.
Arrangements were under the direction of Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan.
