Funeral services for Mary Anna Overstreet, 74, of Caddo Mills, were held on October 8, at Wilson-Orwosky Chapel with Pastor Matthew Busby officiating. Interment followed at Hooker Ridge Cemetery.
Mary Anna Overstreet died on October 4, 2024, at her home in Caddo Mills, with her husband by her side. She was born on February 28, 1950, in Greenville, to Daniel Reding and Robey Grey Roberts.
Mrs. Overstreet was a daycare teacher and later contributed to the well-being of patients as a member of the hospital cafeteria staff. She was also known as a great negotiator and demonstrated a determination that could only be described as stubborn when the occasion called for it. She loved her family and tirelessly supported them.
Mrs. Overstreet is survived by her husband of 59 years, John Overstreet; son, James Overstreet Sr.; daughter, Pamela Brady; grandsons, James Overstreet Jr., Justin William Overstreet and Daniel Lee Brady; nephew, Chris Jones; brother-in-law, Jerry Noble and wife Sonya of Emory; and sister-in-law, Barbara Black.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Joyce Elaine Jones.
