Funeral services for Martha Marie Lippincott, 90, of Emory, were held on November 12, at Wilson Orwosky Funeral Home. Interment followed at Lynch Cemetery.
Mrs. Lippincott died on November 8, 2025, in Canton. She was born on August 24, 1935, in Bryson, Texas, to Elmer A. Cook and Martha Ann Ainsworth.
She enjoyed crafting, scrapbooking, or working on crossword puzzles, and other activities that brought her joy and allowed her to express her creativity. She cherished traveling and visited every state in the United States. Her proudest accomplishments were her family, her children and grandchildren, whom she loved unconditionally. In her role as Granny, she embodied warmth and affection.
Mrs. Lippincott is survived by her son, Freddy Allen Shepard and Charlotte; grandchildren, Julie Shepard, Christy (Cricket) Schuessler and Heath, Morgan Hargrove and Justin, Shaun Shepard, and Hannah Swiney and Mason; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Gayle Lippincott; parents; son, Mike Shepard; siblings, Etta Mae Fields, Zella Fields, Ruby Helms, Zena Cook, Virgil Cook, Vera Williams, Betty Hatley, Gilbert Cook, James Cook and Dewey Cook.
