A visitation for Mark David Yates, 63, of Alba, will be held on Saturday, July 19, from 10:00-12:00 a.m., at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home in Alba.
Mr. Yates died on July 13, 2025, in Tyler. He was born on August 31, 1961, in Anson, to Bobby Russell and Dellie Annita Allen Yates. He was raised on a farm in Rotan, growing up surrounded by the values and hard work of West Texas life.
He dedicated 25 years of his career to Conoco, a path that took him around the world. Fifteen years ago, he settled in the Alba area. On November 21, 2013, he married Rosario Buenviaje Nabo in Quitman, and they built a life filled with love and laughter. He loved fishing and was known for his warm hospitality and was always ready to entertain friends and family. His generosity and adventurous spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Rosario “Carla” Yates of Alba; mother, Dellie Yates of Rotan; two daughters, Aubrey Yates of Aztec, New Mexico, and Diane Nabo/Yates of the Philippines; three sons, Luier Ramos/Yates of Alba, Bobby Mark Yates of Alba, and Rolando Frank Yates of Alba; brother, Russell Yates of Rotan; eight grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Russell Yates.
