Mrs. Jacobs died on October 11, 2024, in Greenville. She was born on November 9, 1921, in Point, to Johnny Ransom Rivers and Jane Ann “Jennie” Slider Rivers. She attended school at Woosley, where she was captain of the basketball team. She married J.P. Jacobs on May 22, 1938. She was known for her sweet, loving and outgoing personality. She had a servant heart, loved to take care of people, and would often sit with the sick or elderly when she was able. Her proudest achievement was her family.

Mrs. Jacobs loved to spend time in her garden as well as work on her many sewing projects. She enjoyed playing board games or working puzzles with her family and friends. She never missed an opportunity to attend church and always looked forward to Taco Tuesday with members of her church family. She loved to go and she loved a good party. She especially enjoyed visiting with people and was delighted to have company – often leaving others with a smile and the phrase, “Come see me!”

She will be remembered not only for her legacy of love and life, but also for the profound impact she had on the lives of all who knew her. Her spirit will forever remain a guiding light for her family and friends, as they continue to share and celebrate the moments that made life with Margie so special.
