A memorial service for Margie Marie Dodson Carpenter, 76, of Point, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 28, at Miracle Faith Baptist Church.
Mrs. Carpenter died peacefully at Carriage House Manor in Sulphur Springs on March 13, 2021. She was born on December 14, 1944, in rural Rains County to Less and Viola Little Dodson. She was married to Charles Carpenter for 24 years.
Mrs. Carpenter was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great-aunt, and a dedicated wife. She loved quilting and cooking for family occasions and holidays. She loved her family and enjoyed playing games at family gatherings. She was a member of Miracle Faith Baptist Church.
Mrs. Carpenter is survived by her husband; sons, Leslie Dennie and Keith Dennie and wife Okay; daughter, Stephanie Jones and husband Johnnie; sisters, Cleta Hooten and Bobbie Underwood; grandchildren, CJ Dennie, Gretchyn Akers, Krystin Kinnamon, and Bella and Storm Jones; great-grandchildren, Kooper and Chet Dennie, and Nolan Akers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her parents; and sister, Jo Ann Hooten.
