Funeral services for Margaret Marie Powell Tyson, 72, of Alba, are scheduled for Thursday, December 9, at 11:00 a.m., at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Alba. Chaplain Lionel Whitaker will officiate.
Mrs. Tyson died on December 5, 2021, in Mineola. She was born November 25, 1949, in Frankston, to Belton Lee and Dorothy Marie Smith Powell. She lived the last 35 years in the Alba area, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Mineola. She loved to draw, paint and sew.
Mrs. Tyson is survived by sons, Dennis Hurst and wife Janet and Bryan Hurst and wife Mcxie all of Mineola; daughter, Kimberly Watson and Roy Adams of Alba; brother, Walter Lee Powell and wife Alice of South Texas; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild and one on the way; and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer Dwight Hurst; and husband, James Martin Tyson.
The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home.
