Funeral services for Jane Marney, 77, formerly of Emory, were held on July 3 at Emory Baptist Church. Interment followed in Hooker Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Marney died on June 26, 2023. She was born on July 30, 1945 to Waymen and Viola Vaughn Hudson. They lived in Emory for over 30 years, and were active members of Emory Baptist Church and involved in local charities including Good Samaritans.
Mrs. Marney is survived by her husband of 52 years, Charles Marney; sons, Rick Marney and wife Gail of Haysi, Virginia, Scott Marney of Georgetown, and Todd Marney and wife Pam of Austin; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Sue Pettyjohn of Keller; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was known as mawmaw by her family and younger friends. She loved her Lord, Jesus Christ, her husband Charlie, and her family. She exhibited her love for her church, its members, and the entire Emory community through her actions and involvement.
