A celebration of life visitation for Lloyd Giles, 80, of Emory, was held on May 9 at Daugherty Baptist Church.
Mr. Giles died on Friday, May 6, 2022, at Greenville Gardens in Greenville. He was born to Lloyd Earnest and Quida (Rice) Giles on August 26, 1941, in Greenville. He graduated from Emory High School and completed a bachelor’s degree from East Texas State University. Mr. Giles married Doris Cooke and they had three sons. He worked as an automotive technician at Greenville Ford. He was known as an avid outdoorsman who loved to spend time working on his garden. He also served as a deacon at the Daugherty Baptist Church.
Mr. Giles is survived by his wife; sons, Jeff Giles and wife Emily, Jon Giles and wife Amber, and Jason Giles and wife Tabitha; brother, Bobby Giles; twelve grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Charles Giles.
