Funeral services for Linda Lou Wright, 71, of Point were held on December 20 at Ingram Funeral Home. Leonard Harrelson officiated.
Interment followed at Hooker Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Wright died on December 13, 2019, in Greenville. She was born November 14, 1948, in Deport to James Douglas Quine and Geneva Vick Quine. Her family moved to the Houston area where she was raised. On October 17, 1986, she married Clyde Weldon Wright Jr., and they were married for 33 years. She was a homemaker and a home health provider.
Mrs. Wright enjoyed music and loved to sing. She also loved kids and it didn’t matter whose kids they were. She was like a mom to her own kid’s friends. She loved her family and enjoyed time spent together having cookouts and on holidays.
She is survived by her husband; her sidekick great-grandson, Creighton Lee Ragsdale; sons, James and Mark Smith of Louisiana and Dale Smith of Paris; daughters, Sheila Boyanton of Texas, Peggy Hampton of Oklahoma, and Crystal Suits of Point; brother, Larry Don Quine of Orange; sisters, Billie Roy and Barbara Contreras of Vidor, Freda Cronon of Big Sandy and Shirley Royer of Orange; stepsons, Tyson Wright of Bogata, and Chester and Corky Wright of Arkansas; stepdaughters, Crystal DePrince and Tonya Wright of Bogata; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Wright was preceded is death by her parents; brothers, Thomas Luther Quine, Thomas Lee Quine, James Quine, and Billy Ray Quine; and sisters, Patritca Jannise and Brenda Campbell.
