A memorial service for Judy Lynn Davis, 79, will be held on August 5, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home in Emory.
Mrs. Davis died on July 24, 2023, surrounded by her family, at Medical City in McKinney. She was born on November 19, 1943, in Greenville, to Henry Cabe and Clara Mae Armstrong. She graduated from Lubbock High School in Lubbock in 1961.
She served as manager of Rains County Abstract for over 30 years. She was a beloved member of her community, touching many lives and families of Rains County.
Mrs. Davis was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She lived her life cherishing every relationship, admiring her sons, loving her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, observing nature and enjoying her pets. She had a unique sense of humor and enjoyed sharing it with everyone.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her sons, Doug Dowdy and wife Tammy and Ronny Dowdy and wife Audra; grandchildren, Jeremy Dowdy and wife Shawn, Chris Dowdy, Lindsey Meyer, Wyatt Dowdy and Bentley Davis; great-grandchildren, Addison Dowdy, Beckham Dowdy, Ethan, Laikyn and Jep; and brother, Charles Armstrong.
She was preceded in death by husband, Sonny Davis; and her parents.
