Judy Elton Manuel Lair, 78, of Emory, died on April 16, 2022. She was born on August 12, 1943, to Elton Joseph Manuel and Leticia Leona Bond in Oakdale, La. She married Kenneth Lair in Newton on May 12, 1967. She worked as the bookkeeper of the family business and was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. Daffodils were one of her favorite flowers. She enjoyed road trips to visit other states. She was a faithful member of the Canton Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Mrs. Lair is survived by her husband of 55 years; son, Michael Lair and wife Misty of Rowlett; daughter, Sharon Russell and husband Ed of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; grandson, Ethan Lair; sister, Jackie Pitre and husband Dwight of Oakdale, La.; nieces, Courtney Dauzat of Glenmora, La. and Staci Pitre of Oakdale, La.; nephew, Travis Pitre of Iowa, La.; and many great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister.
Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home.
