Funeral services for Johnniedean LaPrade, 78, of East Tawakoni, were held on June 13, 2022, at Wilson-Orwosky Chapel. Interment followed at Hooker Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. LaPrade died on June 9, 2022, at her residence in East Tawakoni. She was born on February 24, 1944, to J.B. Hinds and Nell Lofton in Dallas.
She married William Lee LaPrade on April 26, 1963, in Dallas. She retired from Madix in Terrell.
She loved to volunteer in her community
and was mayor of East Tawakoni from 2011 to 2019.
Mrs. LaPrade is survived by her husband, Willie LaPrade; daughter, Vicky Marshall and husband Kyle; grandchildren, Lacy Marshall, Josh Stigall and wife Tori, Aaron Marshall and wife Sarah, Taylor Marshall and wife Elise, and Mason Hamilton and wife Courtney; great-grandchildren, Emersyn, Blakely, Gracie, Lane, Slade and Macy; and sister, Wanda Davis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Julie Ann Hamilton.
Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home in Emory.
