A memorial service for Jimmie “Laverne” Latham Redmon, 75, of Emory, was held on December 14 at Miracle Faith Baptist Church. The service was hosted by her family and church.
Mrs. Redmon died on December 8, 2019, at Medical City in Dallas. She was born on March 18, 1944, in Alba to James Jefferson and Allene Kelley Latham. She graduated Rains High School Class of 1962. She later married James Alvin Redmon on December 31, 1968, in Dallas. They were married 45 years before his passing. She was a homemaker, wife and mother. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Point.
Mrs. Redmon is survived by her children; grandchildren; great-grandchildren, numerous other loving family and friends and her church family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband in 2014.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Baptist Church of Point, P.O. Box 116, Point, TX 75472.
Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home of Emory.
