Funeral services for Jesse Odell Wilson, 90, of Point will be held Wednesday, July 29, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Point. Pastor Jimmy Jarrett will officiate.
Interment will follow in Emory City Cemetery.
Mr. Wilson died on July 26, 2020, in Point. He was born November 14, 1929, to Jewel Lee Akin and Terry Linsey Wilson in Van Zandt County. He married Wanda Delane Wilson on October 19, 1997. Mr. Wilson worked as a dry waller and farmer. His hobbies included fishing, cattle and grandchildren.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife; and children, Danny Wilson, Karen Willingham and husband Rickey, Billy Gaston and wife Beverly, David Gaston and wife Diana, and Jay Gaston and wife Shelly; daughter-in-law, Wynell Wilson; siblings, Cozell Wilson and wife Helen and Carroll Wilson and wife Reba; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Terry Wilson; granddaughter, Amanda Wilson; and grandson, William Gaston III.
A public visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. will be held on Tuesday, July 28, at the First Baptist Church of Point.
