Funeral services for Jackie Ray Busbee, 85, of Emory, will be held on Thursday, October 24, at 2:00 p.m., at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Interment will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Alba.
Mr. Busbee died on October 19, 2024, at his residence in Emory. He was born on February 3, 1939, in Alba, to Herman Ray and Bonnie Fay Brickey Busbee. He lived most of his life in the Alba area. In 1989, he married Nancy Betty-Lou Nunnally at Open Door Church in Alba. He was an avid pool player, a dependable friend, and an honest man. He loved his family dearly. He served in the US Army and also worked as a carpenter for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Nancy Busbee of Emory; daughter, Judy Busbee and Brandon Jones of Emory; three grandchildren, Taylor Ruiz, Parker Jones and Mason Jones; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Earl Busbee; sister, Doris Busbee; son, Patrick Busbee; and grandson, Landon Busbee.
