Funeral services for Jackie “Papa” Patterson, 59, of Emory, will be held on Thursday, November 11, at 11:00 a.m., at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Richard Piles will officiate.
Mr. Patterson died on Monday, November 8, 2021, at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs. He was born on November 30, 1961, in Lubbock, to James Riley Patterson and Louise (Salyers) Nolen.
He married Tracy Koerner on July 16, 1980, in Lubbock. He was a crane operator putting up wind generators by trade, but his passion was his family. He always looked after them. Jackie was a member of the First Baptist Church of New Deal, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors.
Mr. Patterson is survived by his wife; daughter, Jennifer Patterson and husband Jose Ramos; son, Jeremy Patterson and wife Tisha; grandchildren, Tyler Mandrell, Riley Patterson, Amy Patterson, Jackson Patterson, Lexi Ramos and Matthew Ramos; sisters, Claudia Habbinga of Alba, Pamela Crisman and husband Mark of Alba, Jamie McClanahan of Ft. Towson, Okla,; and stepfather, Jessie Nolen of Alba.
He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Jaylinn Marie Patterson; sister, Debbie Rendleman; and brothers-in-law, Calvin Rendleman, Adam McClanahan, Kaydon Habbinga and Danny Welch.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
