Funeral services for Hollis Whitworth, 91, of Alba, will be held on Wednesday, July 21, at 10:00 a.m. at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home. His son-in-law, Roy Prather, will officiate.
Burial will follow at Long Creek Cemetery in Granbury at 3:30 p.m. A visitation will be held at the cemetery.
Mr. Whitworth died on July 16, 2021, in Tyler, with family by his side. He was born on May 8, 1930, in Harold, Texas, to Joe and Myrtle Whitworth, one of five siblings. He married Charline White on September 5, 1952. She died in 1982. He then married Patsy Wolfe in Rains County on March 18, 1983. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and would later retire as an engineering technician for Bell Helicopter. He was also an avid cattle rancher.
Mr. Whitworth is survived by his wife, Patsy Whitworth; children, Marty Whitworth, Eva Hayward, Michele Foster, Jimmy Wolfe, Judy Prather, Rita Rist and Rhonda Wilson; 19 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.

A formal visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 20, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home.
