Services for Doyal Ray Franklin, 86, of Point, were held on December 11, at Pilgrims Rest #1 Baptist Church in Emory.Interment followed at Hooker Ridge Cemetery.
Mr. Franklin died on December 8, 2021. He was born on November 7, 1935, to Clyde and Maudie Franklin in the Smyrna community. He graduated from Emory School and served in the US Army for 4 years. He married Linda Jacks on November 26, 1958. He was a faithful member of Pilgrims Rest #1 Baptist Church for many years. He enjoyed working at Good Samaritan with his church and fishing.
Mr. Franklin is survived by his wife of Point; daughters, Pamela Campbell and husband Richard of Point, and Sandra Hall and husband Donald of Waxahachie; grandson, Andrew Perry and wife Lauren; granddaughter, Amanda Campbell; great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Parker Campbell, and Jordan and Brooke Perry; brother, Louie Don Franklin; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and a niece.
Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home.
