A celebration of life service was held for David Landon Fleming, 85, of Lewisville, on October 21, at Northview Baptist Church in Lewisville.
Mr. Fleming died on October 17, 2022, with his family by his side. He was born on April 20, 1937, to David Lee and Alice Harbinson Fleming. He grew up in Emory and graduated from Emory High School in 1956.
After high school, he moved to Dallas and worked for A&P Grocery, Braswell Freight, Addison Airport and Texas Instruments, where he retired in 1991. He enjoyed volunteer coaching, woodworking and spending time with his family and friends. He worked security for the Lewisville ISD and tried his entrepreneurial spirit in a sno-cone business and a pest control business. He was a member of Northview Baptist Church and was baptized in 2007.
Mr. Fleming is survived by his wife, Louise; son, Kenneth Wells and wife Teresa; daughter, Debbie Fleming; grandchildren, J.D. Wells and wife Erica, Heath Wells and wife Whitney, Emily Wells and Celeste Lomeli; great-grandchildren, Jolie Wells, Brady Wells, Sadie Wells and Alice Poindexter; brothers, Dewey Fleming and wife Rita and Mack Fleming; and sisters, Gardenia Kruger, Faye Elerson and Kay Manley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Keith Fleming, Don Fleming and Wayman Gail Fleming.
