Charles Slatton

1942 – 2021

Charles Slatton, 79, of Wills Point, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on April 16, 2021. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan, Texas, with burial to follow at Sand Flat Cemetery in Grand Saline, Texas. Family and friends are also welcomed to attend a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Monday, April 19, 2021, at Ingram Funeral Home.

Charles was born on March 8, 1942, to Mr. Zeb Slatton and Ms. Mary King in Tennessee. He married the love of his life, Mrs. Geneva Thompson Slatton, on March 6, 1962. Charles owned a wrecker service, and he was passionate about the job he did for most all his life. He was a hard-working man, but if he did find any free time, he was sure to be out fishing. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Zeb Slatton and Mary King.

Charles will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Geneva Slatton; his children, Michael Slatton and wife Shannon, Linda Stigall and husband Kenneth (Buddy), Donna Renshaw, and James Slatton; his brother, Ronnie Denson; his sisters, Wanda Borg and Karen Wills; several grandchildren; many great grandchildren; his good friends, Bobby Condor and Mr. Tuppie; and his special friends at Wills Point Automotive.

Pallbearers will be Michael Slatton, James Slatton, Jeffery Burton, Buddy Stigall, Stephen Thompson, and Josh Stigall.
