Charles Becton Brumit

1939 – 2023

A celebration of life service for Charles Becton Brumit, 84, will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., at the Emory City Center. 

Mr. Brumit died on Sunday, June 11, 2023. He was born on March 7, 1939, in Greenville, to Robert Brumit and Addie Christopher. He was the youngest of 13 children. He graduated from high school in Point and married  Doris Faye Ivy on October 17, 1969, in Oklahoma. where they made a life, home and family. They had three children. 

He retired in 1995 after 35 years of working for L3. He was a master of carpentry and woodwork, and had a love for art, practicing coloring and shading nature scenes. He was a family man, a wonderful father, grandfather and a great-grandfather. He was a godly man, a member of the Church of God, and was very passionate about researching the Bible and practicing the lessons he learned from word of God.

Mr. Brumit is survived by his wife; daughter, Faye Nell; sons, Terry Don and wife Fran, and Christopher Brumit; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his 12 siblings.

In lieu of flowers, donations may go to his widow to support her in this time of grief.
