Jenkins Franklin, with his family beside him, was sworn in as Justice of the Peace for Rains County in the court room of the Rains County Courthouse on Wednesday, March 9. Franklin won the primary election for JP on March 1 and was appointed by the Rains County Commissioners Court to full fill the term of Paul Foley after Foley died on March 3.
