Funeral services for Bonnie Leona Stone Boan, 88, of Grand Saline, were held on December 31, 2022, at Bartley Funeral Home. Sis. Delana Wheeler officiated. Pallbearers were Terry Floyd, Bob Crawford, Joseph Lopez, Dalton Fehl, Ronnie Boyles, Danny Curtis and Nicholas Floyd. Interment was held in Woodside Cemetery.
Mrs. Boan died on December 28, 2022, in Tyler. She was born June 8, 1934, in Grand Saline, to James “Jim” Otto and Addie Jessie Brown Stone.
She was raised in Grand Saline and lived several years in the Dallas and Houston areas before moving back to Grand Saline 25 years ago.
She is survived by her stepson, Shawn Boan of Joplin, Mo.; brother, Jimmy Don Stone and wife Sandra of Emory; sisters, Margaret Boyles and husband William of Grand Saline, Charlotte Curtis and husband Junior of Grand Saline, and Rita Milliorn of Fruitvale; five grandchildren, Shawnna Hewitt, Terry Floyd, Stephanie Newman and husband Bobby, Joseph Lopez and Janet Camacho; six great-grandchildren, Dalton Fehl, Nicholas Floyd and wife Alexis, MarKus Newman, ValeriK Newman, ThoRin Newman and Skadi Newman; three great-great-grandchildren, James Floyd, Carys Floyd and Wes Floyd; and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mark Armstrong and wife Lisa; daughter, Shelia Armstrong Lopez; sister, Marie Douthitt; brother, Berlie Stone; grandson, Stephen James Armstrong; and great-great-grandson, Thomas Floyd.
