Funeral services for Billye Sue Caldwell, 88, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 7, at the First Baptist Church in Leonard.
Mrs. Caldwell died in Tyler on June 30, 2021. She was born March 2, 1933, in Farmersville to Jake and Delia Hickman. She spent her teenage years in Farmersville and Princeton where she graduated from high school. She married Raymond “Dick” Caldwell on November 16, 1953, and they had three children. She spent most of her married life in Leonard. She was a member of the Valley Creek Baptist Church. She served on the Leonard City Council and was always very active in city and school activities. After her husband’s death, She moved to Emory to be near family.
Mrs. Caldwell is survived by her daughter, Susan Lively and husband Eddie of Emory, sons, Jay Caldwell and wife Lana of Carrollton and Kyle Caldwell and wife Beverly of Terrell; grandchildren, Jon Felmet and wife Sarah, Candice Duncan and husband David, Tyler Lively and wife Kim, Jacob Caldwell, Jared Caldwell, Abby Altman, and Bailey Sparks and husband Austin; great-grandchildren, Darla Duncan, Braylee Lively, Darby Duncan, Darcey Duncan, Lettie Lively, Katlynn Bryant, Kaden Riley and Kaleb Riley; and a great-great-grandson, Brantley Bo.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Patsy Rike; and a great-grandchild, Kelsey Cowley.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, July 6, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Turrentine-Jackson Morrow Funeral Home in Leonard.
