Services for Betty Lou Moseley, 87, of Point, were held April 17. Interment followed in Lone Star Cemetery.
Mrs. Moseley died early Monday morning, April 13, 2020, in Briarcliff Health Center in Greenville. She was born on January 29, 1933, in Point to Raymond Clifford and Ida Mae Cooper Robinson. She graduated from Point High School, Class of 1952. She married Walter Floyd Moseley on August 23, 1952, in Tyler, and they were married 67 years.
Mrs. Moseley completed over 30 years of service to the First State Bank of Point until its closure in 1992. She advanced through the ranks while employed at the bank from teller, vice president, to bank cashier, and she was a member of the board of directors. In 1992, she went to work for Emory Food Mart, where she worked in the cashier’s office and managed the market’s finances and payrolls. She worked until she became ill in 2015. She loved working and helping people.
Mrs. Moseley was a member of the Point United Methodist Church for over 40 years. She was also a long-time member of The Eastern Star, Point Ladies Civic Club and FUMC Ladies Sunday School Class. She was loved by many people in Rains County, and will truly be missed.
Mrs. Moseley is survived by her husband of Point; daughter, Lana Gail Moseley of Emory; son, Gregory Kent Moseley and wife Denise of Flower Mound; grandchildren, Marissa Spinks and Brooke Moseley; great-grandchild, Cameron Meredith; and numerous other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Walter Darrell “Bubba” Moseley in 1965; sister, Peggy Hooten; and grandmother, Mattie Cooper.
