A funeral service for Barry Nathan Finkelstein, 75, was held on December 30, at Shearith Israel Memorial Park in Dallas Mr. Finkelstein died suddenly on December 26, 2022. He was born on May 11, 1947, in Dallas, to Sol Finkelstein and Hannah Abramson Finkelstein.
Mr. Finkelstein graduated from W.W. Samuell High School in Dallas in 1965. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1969 with a BBA and has been an owner or partner in a CPA firm since 1976. He established his own firm in Dallas in 1980 and moved his practice to Emory in 2013. He is a former city councilman and mayor pro-tem in Addison.
Mr. Finkelstein is survived by his sisters, Susanne Massengale and Anna Bette Newburn and husband Oscar; nephews, Jason Carlock and wife Jessica Blash, Joshua Newburn and wife Rachel, and Jacob Newburn and wife Jami Jack; and numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; and brother-in-law, James Massengale.
